Two men have been arrested following robberies and a burglary in west Wales.
Between late afternoon and the evening of Thursday 24 October two robberies and a burglary occurred in the Whitland and Kilgetty areas.
In all three incidents elderly people were targeted, and one of the victims sustained minor injury. Dyfed-Powys Police officers commenced enquiries immediately and two men were arrested that evening.
The men, a 22 year old and a 20 year old, were arrested on suspicion of dwelling burglary and robbery and remain in custody.
A special court was held late on Friday 25 October where police were given a further 36 hours to detain them in custody. This will be reviewed Sunday morning.
A police spokesman said: "Thankfully incidents such as these are very uncommon in the Dyfed-Powys area, but if they do occur the police take them extremely seriously and investigate thoroughly to bring any offenders to justice. We are providing the victims with support and our Bobby Van scheme is providing free security measures in the properties affected."
