3 Amigos and Dollies all set for toy run

THE 3 Amigos and Dollies are all set for their annual Christmas toy run this Saturday (December 14).

The group launched the event at Pembroke Dock Cricket Club back in September and has received plenty of donations in the build up to this weekend’s spectacular, which will see around 400 motorcyclists ride from Pembroke to Haverfordwest.

The 3 Amigos and Dollies has around 30 members and it has raised nearly £20,000 through toy runs since its inception more than 10 years ago.

All of the toys and donations from this year’s event will go to Withybush Hospital children’s ward – including the £60,000 appeal for a new outdoor children’s play area - and Action for Children.

Speaking earlier this week, dolly Ness Moseley said: “At the moment it’s looking quite good. As long as the sunshine stays with us, we will hopefully get the 400 bikes we normally get turning out for the run.

“It’s all set, it’s all looking good and it should be another great event this year.”

People will meet at the Commons car park, Pembroke, between 10.30am and noon for a 1pm start, before heading to Withybush Hospital. The event will finish at the conference centre opposite the hospital.

A great bunch of guys and gals organising a fantastic event for a well deserving local cause! I'm sure this will bring happiness and joy to a lot of children. This is the sort good news I like to hear, especially after all the negative stories about Withybush Hospital lately! The bike is dusted off and ready to go. I look forward to seeing you all on Saturday.
