A Tenby student has interviewed one of Wales’ brightest rising film actors, Luke Evans, who has appeared in the new Hobbit film.
Josh Veale, aged 16, from Greenhill School, quizzed Luke about the film industry in a special event hosted by film education charity Filmclub.
Filmclub, supported by its main partner, the Film Agency for Wales, and funded by the Welsh government works with over 350 Welsh schools to set up film clubs for teachers and pupils to watch, discuss and review.
Josh is a junior reporter for the charity, and attended a preview of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug in London to help him prepare his questions ahead of interviewing Luke, who plays Bard the Bowman in the film.
He hosted a question and answer session with the actor and 60 pupils from Lewis School, Caerphilly, and afterwards Luke said: He did better than most interviewers I’ve been dealing with in the last two weeks around the world. He did a great job - he’s gonna go far!”
Josh described the day as ‘amazing’ and added that it had been inspiring to hear from someone with a positive message to give to people about film. “It makes the film industry seem so much more accessible,” he said.
