THE owners of a top Pembrokeshire hotel and restaurant are to open a brand new beachside restaurant near Saundersfoot.

The team behind The Grove, Narberth, is set to unveil the Coast restaurant at Coppet Hall early this spring.

The project is being carried out by the landowners, Hean Castle Estate, with the aim of making Coppet Hall a leading family beach destination, and is part of Visit Wales' Coastal Tourism project to encourage tourism along the Welsh coastline.

The work began with the demolition of the former Coppet Hall Hotel was demolished and remodelling of the car park, with the finishing touches now being put to the environmentally-friendly building which will house the restaurant.

The new Coast restaurant will have a front sea view terrace with seating for up to 80 people. Inside, there will be seating for a further 60 guests, with the small café bar seating 12.

The Grove owner, Neil Kedward, said: "We're hugely excited to be unveiling the beachside Coast restaurant at Coppet Hall near Saundersfoot this spring. The venue will a offer a unique food experience focused on fabulous Pembrokeshire produce, together with unrivalled beach views."

Great news - reminds me of the beach-side restaurant built like a Huge shell - the East Beach cafe that's been open for many years in Littlehampton - really rejuvenated the place
