Pembrokeshire Citizens Advice Bureau has been provided with additional government funding to support those seriously affected by flooding or storm damage.

Recent extreme weather has affected many across the county to some extent and could cause long term financial stress but Pembrokeshire CAB is on hand to provide responsive, tailored support.

Chief officer Nicola Roguski said: “No organisation understands its community better than a Citizens Advice Bureau, and I’m pleased to announce that the government have recognised this with the allocation of additional resources to ensure bureaux can provide advice and assistance to anyone who needs it.”

In addition to working with the local authority, the insurance industry and community groups Pembrokeshire CAB will be offering dedicated advice both in bureau and at outreach sessions.

It can help clarify if you are eligible for help from local authority assistance funds, government grants, business rate relief or temporary council tax exemption as well as employment rights or tenancy rights.

Advice is available in person at 43 Cartlett, Haverfordwest and 38 Meyrick St, Pembroke Dock or call the Adviceline on 0844 477 2020.
