Elderly person with head injuries airlifted from Caldey Island, Tenby

AN elderly person was airlifted from Caldey Island, off Tenby, after falling and sustaining head injuries.

Coastguards and paramedics were called to the island at about 5.45pm yesterday.

Tenby's lifeboat carried a paramedic and coastguard personnel to the island before it was decided to airlift the injured person to hospital in Cardiff.
