TRAINS travelling between west Wales and Cardiff this week will be leaving up to 10 minutes early, as improvement work is carried out.

As part of the project to modernise the signalling across south Wales, Network Rail is currently undertaking improvement work between Cardiff Central and Newport Station.

Between Monday, May 12, and Saturday, May 17, most of the train services between west Wales and Cardiff Central will be leaving up to 10 minutes earlier than timetabled.

This will include trains from Milford Haven, Fishguard Harbour, and Pembroke Dock, and will affect all stations along the routes.

Most services between Cardiff and Shrewsbury will also be similarly affected during this period, and a replacement bus service will operate between Cardiff Central and Newport.

Arriva Trains Wales is asking all its passengers on these services to check train times before they travel and to leave extra time for their journey.

Up-to-date information is available online at www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk and from National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50.

Information about amended services and rail replacement bus services can also be found displayed at stations.
