Over 200 walkers are ready to set off on the popular Pembrokeshire dawn walk tomorrow (Sunday). Walkers will set off at dawn from Pembroke Castle to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support. Both 26 and 13 mile walks will go out and back from the castle crossing over the Cleddau Bridge via Neyland and along the Brunel Trail towards Haverfordwest with everyone returning to the castle for a fantastic party with live music and entertainment in the castle grounds.

Liz Cook, Ellen Lynch and Liz Tomlinson are all walking in memory of Shirley Clarkson and Bev Evans, two ladies from Pennar who have sadly lost their lives to cancer this year. Liz Cook said: “Shirley and Bev passing away far too early has left not only a huge gap in their families but also in our very close knit community. They had so much to look forward to in their lives which have tragically been cut short. By doing this walk, it’s good thing that we’re doing something proactive by raising money for the excellent service Macmillan Cancer Support provides to patients and their families”

The walk is tomorrow, Sunday May 18. Both walks need to check in from 5am in Pembroke Castle grounds (no registration on the day) with 26 mile start at 6.00am and 13 mile start at 6.30am.
