A CHARITY that has helped feed and clothe those in need for almost six years will soon be moving into bigger and better premises thanks to the Port of Milford Haven.

Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship (PATCH), which is currently based at Unit C, Haven’s Head Business Park, will be moving just round the corner, to the former PBI building.

PATCH co-ordinator Tracy Olin said she is very grateful to the Port for all its help in securing the new building, and is looking forward to settling into the charity's new home.

“PATCH has become so much bigger and better than I ever dreamed of when we first started. We would not be where we are today without the amazing support we see daily,” said Tracy.

“After saying in jest that I would like the old PBI offices just behind our present unit, the Port miraculously said we can have it!

“There are many rooms in the building and we are hoping to offer some to support agencies involved in fighting poverty.”

PATCH is now in need of donations of tables, chairs and office furniture to kit out the new building, which will have a dedicated reception area, plus separate rooms to store food, household goods and clothes, plus room for the recently-launched fruit and veg co-op, which runs every Wednesday.
