A rare opportunity to walk Goodwick's "big breakwater" takes place tomorrow (Sunday).

Stena Line has given permission for the opening of the North Breakwater in Fishguard Harbour to raise money for the Fishguard and Goodwick RNLI lifeboats.

This will take place tomorrow, Sunday, May 25, between 10.30am and 4.30pm, with a bucket collection for donations at the gate.

Refreshments will be available, along with souvenirs, and the opportunity to see the inshore lifeboat and the lifeboat station.

Stena Line has requested that dogs should be kept on leads and children should be accompanied by an adult at all times. No fishing will be allowed on the day.

This event has proved to be a really popular day out and a chance for people of the twin towns to remember times past. A warm welcome is extended to all, including visitors to the area.
