Fishguard's popular pirates and smugglers walk takes place today, Sunday, May 25, as part of the town’s annual folk festival.
Fishguard has close links with pirates – the notorious pirate Black Bart was born and brought up in the area.
Fishguard was also the last place in the UK to be bom - barded by pirates in 1769, when the privateer Black Prince sailed into Lower Town harbour.
The walk covers about two miles and examines the places where these events took place. It is free to take part and starts at 10.30am from the town square. Participants are encouraged to dress as pirates
