Armed Police were involved in the arrest of a man who was believed to have had a knife during a disturbance in Narberth last night (Saturday).
Dyfed-Powys Police said: "Just before 9.00pm on Saturday 24th May 2014, Dyfed-Powys Police took a number of emergency calls regarding a man causing a disturbance in an around the town centre area of Narberth. The reports suggested that this man may be in possession of a knife.
"In order to ensure the safety of the public a number of police units, including armed units, were deployed to the area. A man was subsequently arrested at 9.32pm at an address in Market Square, Narberth. This arrest took place without incident. No persons were physically harmed during the incident. A 27 year old local man remains in custody at Haverfordwest.
"Any witnesses to the matter are asked to contact Dyfed-Powys Police on 101."
