Scores of runners will take to the coast path this morning to raise money for cancer charity Tenovus.

The Dinas Head race and fun run returns for its 25th year today, bank holiday Monday.

The event launched in 1990 to raise money for the Newport NSPCC, and over the years it has raised thousands of pounds for different charities.

The run starts at Pwllgwaelod at 11am and the route goes along to Cwm yr Eglwys, turn right up the very steep narrow road to Hellan, back down towards Pwllgwealod, going left along the coast path, coming down the steps at Pwllgwaelod, back to CwmYr Eglwys, around Dinas Head and finishing just past the entry of the path to CwmYr Eglwys.

The beneficiary this year is Tenovus.
