SEAFAIR Haven Festival returns to Pembrokeshire next month for its fifth year.

The biennial maritime event which takes place next month between June 7 and 14, gives traditional and classic vessels the opportunity to enjoy the Milford Haven Waterway.

The event is organised by the Tall Ships (Wales) Trust with the support of the Port of Milford Haven and other local businesses. The Trust aims to provide sailing opportunities for young people and to support events that provide sail training opportunities.

This year around sixty traditional boats and vessels from all over the UK and across Europe are scheduled to arrive in the Haven for the week-long festival. The larger vessels will port in Milford Haven Marina whilst the smaller vessels will be based in Lawrenny.

As well as attracting vessels into the county from across the globe, the festival is also an opportunity to occupy visitors while holidaying in Pembrokeshire. Across the week a number of activities have been organised to tie in with the event including BBQs, music, exhibitions and walks.

Maudie Hughes, Chief Executive of Pembrokeshire Tourism, said the festival is a great benefit to the tourism economy, and provided a great experience for visitors and locals.

“With something for everyone, whether they are an experienced sailor, or a spectator, it is a great event and attracts a great number of visitors to the area," she said.
