English car enthusiasts will be among those taking part in a classic car run today (Sunday, June 8).

The annual Western Telegraph Preseli Bluestone Run 2014 will once again be staged in aid of the British Heart Foundation.

This is motoring tour of about 55 miles starts at Gelliswick Bay in Milford Haven at 11.30am and crosses over the Preseli Hills. After a Halfway Stop courtesy of Dyfed Shirehorse Farm the tour will continue via the beautiful Bluestone countryside before crossing over the finish line in Narberth.

Members of Lowestoft Classic Car Club will be travelling from Suffolk to St Davids to celebrate their 25th anniversary, and will be stopping off near Milford Haven along the way.

Lowestoft’s connection with Milford Haven goes back many years, to when the two towns were important fishing ports. Many Suffolk families even moved to Pembrokeshire and made their homes in Milford Haven.

Car Club members are hoping the descendents of Lowestoft families will come to Gelliswick Beach for 10.30am Sunday morning, where the Mayor of Milford Haven will greet them.

The club will then join the Bluestone Run which sees hundreds of vintage, classic, sports, kit and specialised cars and motorbikes cross the county in one day.

This event is open to all types of vintage, classic, sports, kit and specialised cars and motorbikes and there is an entry fee of just £5 payable at the start line on the day.

All entries will receive a Western Telegraph rally board and a BHF certificate. To enter, contact Jeff & Sian on 01646 697226, email pembscountyrun@aol.comor via www.pembrokecountyrun.co.uk and quote Preseli Bluestone Run 2014.
