THE emergency services gathered in Narberth yesterday (Monday) afternoon following a disturbance at the Old School.
Eye witnesses spotted a man on the roof of one of the buildings and crowds soon gathered around the site to see what was going on.
Police closed a section of Moorfield Road for public safety and a helicopter was seen circling the area.
A Dyfed-Powys Police spokesman said: “Concern about the safety and welfare of a male from Narberth was raised with police at 4.55pm on Monday.
“A search was conducted by officers and the helicopter and the male was located on the roof of the Old School in Narberth.
“Following a police negotiator speaking with the male he voluntarily came down from the roof and was taken to hospital.”
Narberth’s local fire crew was also on the scene having received the call at 5.22pm.
A Mid and West Wales Fire Service spokesperson said: “We didn’t have to do anything. One male on the roof came down on his own.
“We left the scene at 6.45pm.”
