A Prendergast man is in jail after police arrested him for possessing a knife in a public place.
Paul Williams, aged 43, appeared before Judge Huw Davies at Swansea crown court today via a video link with Swansea prison.
Williams admitted having the knife at Colley Court, Monkton, on June 17.
Williams, of Back Lane, will be sentenced on July 18 after a probation officer has prepared a report into his background.
His barrister, Kate Williams, said there were concerns about his mental health and no bail application would be made.
Williams was further remanded in custody until the sentencing hearing.
