POLICE have released an e-fit of a man wanted in connection with an incident at a St Davids caravan park where an intruder assaulted an occupant.

At around 2am on Sunday, July 27 an intruder entered a caravan at Caerfai Bay caravan park, was disturbed by the occupants. There were no serious physical injuries.

The victim has helped police create an e-fit of the man officers want to interview.

The man is described as having a darker skin tone, round face, approx. 5’11 tall, athletic build, short dark hair and approx. 20 – 30 years old. He was wearing a dark pair of knee length shorts, and dark coloured vest top with possibly a different colour around the edging of the armholes.

A confrontation ensued while attempts were made by the occupants to apprehend him, but he managed to flee the scene through a window in the caravan.

One of the occupants pursued the intruder and spoke to two men at the scene and questioned whether they had seen the offender.

Police are keen to speak to these individuals as they may be important witnesses.

Detective Chief Inspector Andy Williams said: “We have worked closely with the victim to produce this e-fit. We are appealing to members of the public to let us know if they think they may have seen him recently in the area.

“We ask that the public consider the image carefully and contact us with any information. I’d like to reassure the community that incidents such as these are very rare in this area. There will be increased police patrols in the area whilst enquiries are continuing.”
