Cardigan Quays Festival returns to the banks of the river Teifi tomorrow, Saturday, August 23 celebrating the town’s rich cultural and maritime heritage.

There will be something for everyone, including a maker’s fair which showcases local engineers, great technologists, great manufacturers and other creative artisans.

From 11am to 4pm join the Small World Theatre Building of a Megalithic Monument on Prince Charles Quay where you can drop in and make costumes. You can also join Obelix and the rest of the crew who are arriving on a 4,000 year old boat.

The popular mermaid race takes place between 5pm and 7pm. It is an 11 mile rowing race around Cardigan Island through river, estuary and open sea conditions. Prize giving is at 8 pm.
