Goodwick's new war memorial will be unveiled at a special ceremony tomorrow (Saturday, November 1).

It has been sculpted from Carreggwyn stone by local stonemason Darren Yeadon and will be located on the square.

The £6,000 monument is the result of a successful fundraising appeal which was launched earlier this year by the Royal British Legion It bears the names of the 74 local servicemen who lost their lives in the First and Second World Wars.

To coincide with its unveiling, a parade will assemble at the old war memorial at St Peter’s Church at 10.30am and will march through Goodwick to the new memorial.

The normal Remembrance Sunday Parade in Fishguard will remain the same and take place on Sunday, November 9.
