IT was a case of ‘all’s wool that ends wool’ after a mascot sheep was stolen from outside a shop in Haverfordwest.

Blodwen the life-sized woolly ewe stands proudly outside Hampton’s Carpets and Beds on Bridgend Square.

But on Thursday (November 20), a flock of baa-d schoolchildren decided to pick her up and run off with her into the town centre.

They were soon stopped in their tracks when a lady called Vicky intervened. She recognised Blodwen from Hampton’s and warned them to ‘drop the sheep’ or she will call the police.

Vicky left Blodwen at The Funky Den, where she was later reunited with her grateful owners Jon and Emma Imbrey.

Jon said: “We’re delighted to have her back. She’s our mascot and everyone associates her with the shop.

“A big thank you to Vicky, the defender of our sheep.”

Jon and Emma would like to thank Vicky in person for her ‘shear’ determination and urge her to come into the shop, where Jon assures she’ll be given a good discount!
