Welsh tenor Wynne Evans will bring his customary cheer to Haverfordwest today (Saturday).

The BBC Radio Wales presenter is leading a fun-filled family concert at Sir Thomas Picton School, performed by the BBC National Orchestra of Wales.

Two showings of the festive music extravaganza will take place Saturday, December 20, at 3pm and 7pm.

Carmarthen-born Wynne is a familiar face from his career as a leading opera singer and star of a series of TV commercials.

A familiar voice on BBC Radio Wales, he also presents Wynne Evans’ Big Welsh Weekend on Friday afternoons.

“I’m really looking forward to joining the BBC National Orchestra of Wales for this year’s Christmas Celebrations concerts!” said Wynne. “They are guaranteed to put a smile on your face, and get you well and truly in the festive mood. The concert will have a few surprises and is fun for the whole family. I urge the audience to come wearing their Christmas jumpers, and be ready to sing and laugh!”

The talented Pembrokeshire Youth Choir will perform a selection of carols and seasonal songs alongside the orchestra, and the audience will have an opportunity to join in with the music-making.

Tickets priced at £15 (discounts available) are only available by calling the Orchestra’s Audience Line on 0800 052 1812.
