Shoppers at Haverfordwest Christmas Farmers’ Markets have been finding lots of great ideas for food and gifts as the markets continue every Friday before Christmas with an extra market today Tuesday, December 23.

Choose from traditional farm reared turkey or chicken, produced by the Davies family from Cuckoo Mill, available to suit your needs, as oven ready whole turkey, or turkey crowns or rolls with Mrs Davies’s famous homemade stuffing.

For a flavoursome roasting joint, including organic, you’ll be spoilt for choice whether it’s slow reared Dexter beef or Preseli lamb from Cig Lodor; or traditional breed beef, pork or lamb from Hazel Well farm or Bethesda Farm shop, even free range wild boar cross from Trehale.

You’ll also find all the trimmings for the roast, or to treat yourselves to a holiday brunch. Check out the meat stalls for a wide variety of sausages as well as sausage meat for the stuffing, plus home cured, dry cured or smoked bacon, and free range eggs too.

You’ll certainly be tempted by the range of party food too. Pates to crabmeat from Cuckoo Mill or Claws, Cig Lodor’s cider cured hams to Mr Nice Pie and Country Markets homemade pies and Little Welsh Deli award winning pasties.
