A Haverfordwest woman who admitted biting her partner after a Boxing Day party, and assaulting his teenage daughter, is due to be sentenced today (Wednesday).

Amanda Louis Lewis, of Priory Court, Winch Lane, pleaded guilty to two counts of assault by beating at Haverfordwest magistrates court on February 11.

Lesley Harbon, prosecuting, told the court that James Campbell-Lawrence had held a Boxing Day party at his home on December 26 last year. He went to bed at about 10.30pm. At around 2am He became aware of 33-year-old Lewis coming into his bedroom and checking his trouser pockets. When he challenged her she picked up a framed certificate and threw it at him, narrowly missing his head. She then jumped onto the bed and bit him.

When Mr Campbell-Lawrence’s teenage daughter tried to intervene Lewis attacked her. The argument continued and Lewis slapped the young girl again before getting her into a headlock, dragging her to the floor and digging her nails into her neck.

The teenager was left with cuts, scratch marks and reddening to her face and neck. Her father had a small lump to the back of his head under his hair.

Mark Layton, defending, said that his client did not recall the incident to any great degree but accepted that she had gone into the bedroom and bitten her partner.

Magistrates asked the probation service to provide pre sentencing reports. They adjourned sentencing until March 4. Lewis was released on unconditional bail. until then.
