ROAD resurfacing at the Churnworks roundabout in Haverfordwest is likely to cause traffic problems this weekend as a number of roads are shut for 12 hour periods, starting tonight (Friday, March 13).
Evan Pritchard Contractors Limited has delivered letters to nearby residents stating that there will be closures affecting Northgate leading to Crowhill, Swan Square, North Crescent and Perrots Road uphill.
The first closure is from 7pm tonight (March 13) to 7am.
The area will be closed again between 6am and 6pm on Sunday, March 15 and then from 7pm on Monday, March 16 to 7am the next morning.
The letter, which has been shared online, states: “These road closures are required to carry out the final resurfacing and associated works for the Churnworks scheme, too ensure speed of construction and safety of both the public and workforce alike. There will be further traffic control measures in place during these works in the form of signal control or stop go boards where necessary, please expect delays.”
It also adds that due to the nature of the materials used the works are weather dependent and closure dates may be affected.
Diversion routes will be in place.
