Pembrokeshire will be plunged into darkness this morning (Friday) when the biggest eclipse of the sun since the famous event of 1999 takes place.
The moon will cover much of the sun on the morning of Friday, March 20.
It will not be a total eclipse but there will be around three minutes of maximum eclipse visible from parts of the country.
Cardiff University astronomer Dr Rhodri Evans said in Wales, the moon will block out between 84 per cent and 86 per cent of the sun’s light.
The further north you go, the more complete the eclipse.
NASA estimates that in Haverfordwest the start of the partial eclipse will take place at around 8.22am.
The maximum eclipse will be at 9.26am, with the end of the partial eclipse coming just hover an hour later at 10.35am.
Remember, to avoid damage to eyes, never look directly at the sun.
