FISHGUARD and Goodwick RNLI Fundraising Branch held its annual general meeting at the lifeboat station on Tuesday, April 14.

During the meeting the chairman of the branch, Roger Tayler presented a cheque for just over £20,000 to Captain David Williams, the launching operations manager of the Fishguard and Goodwick lifeboats .

Pauline Bean, who has been fundraising for many years, was presented with the RNLI Silver Award by Captain Williams in recognition of her services to the charity in Fishguard and Goodwick.

Also in attendance were Dr David Davies, chairman of the lifeboat management group and members of the fundraising committee who have worked so hard to raise such a great sum of money over the year.

They thanked the people of the twin towns who gave so generously and organisations like Fishguard Youth Club, Tour of Pembrokeshire and Round Table for their continued support.

Thanks were also paid to families and friends who make donations in memory of loved ones.
