After a one year absence, the Really Wild Food and Countryside Festival is set to return to Pembrokeshire this weekend.

Two of Pembrokeshire’s gold award-winning businesses have joined forces to organise the hugely popular event.

Ian Griffiths of Celtic Camping and Julia Horton-Powdrill, founder of the Really Wild Festival, will be celebrating the event’s 10th birthday at Pwll Caerog Farm, near St Davids.

As Ian and Julia already work together as directors of Pembrokeshire Tourism they are thrilled to be planning the Really Wild Festival over the next few months.

Set at Celtic Camping on May 23 – 24. This year’s event offers more walks, more foraging and more wild adventures.

There is pig racing, falconry displays, a climbing wall, beach adventures, clay shooting and archery and on Saturday the Man-Up UK 10k Mud Run will take place.

With around 80 stalls selling wild foods, wild drinks and wild crafts, the festival promises to be fun for all the family.

Indoors there are four wonderful chefs demonstrating their talents with plenty of room to sit and watch and a chance to test the dishes.

The festival runs from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 23rd & Sunday 24th May. On Saturday evening there is a live music event on featuring ska band Tattsyrup and Rock band Philoe Beddo.

“This is a perfect site”, said Julia, “we’ve had some terrific venues over the years, but Pwll Caerog will give us the opportunity to widen our activities with wonderfully ‘wild’ events.

The 2014 Really Wild Festival was cancelled after the event’s co-founder and Julia’s husband, Brian Powdrill passed away.
