A man has been airlifted to hospital following an 'industrial incident' near Narberth earlier.

Another man was also injured, police said.

The Wales Air Ambulance and Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service were called to the scene at Providence Hill.

Narberth and Whitland fire crews arrived on scene at around 12.39pm.

One casualty was released from what was described as a 'small JCB' machine before being flown from the scene.

The incident is understood to have happened at the Brandon Tool Hire premises.

A spokesman for Dyfed-Powys Police, said: "Police attended a scene in Narberth on Wednesday, June 24, at 1pm where two men suffered injuries as a result of an incident involving a JCB-type vehicle.

"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and has been passed to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE)."

A Wales Air Ambulance spokesman said: "The Wales Air Ambulance was called to an industrial incident in the Narberth area today.

"The charity’s helicopter landed on scene at 13:18 where they treated and then airlifted an adult male.

"They left the scene at 14:10 and arrived at Morriston Hospital 14:29."

The spokesman could not give an update on the injured party's condition.

A spokesman for the HSE said: "HSE is aware of the incident and is making enquiries."
