I WOULD like to question who exactly is ignorant about foxes here, foxes are wild animals which have been indigenous to the countryside long before farming or individuals owned the land that they live and survive on.
So who can blame a fox for doing what they are naturally programmed to do ?
Which is kill to survive !
As for outlandish claims that Foxes are vermin, which clearly seems like an attempt to justify hunting, even suggesting that hunting is not nearly as cruel as shooting, which evidently represents the only humane manner to remove a fox which is causing losses to the farming community.
Hunting with dogs is banned in the UK, and in a modern society it should remain that way, Rosemary not only provides statistics to suggest that it is also an ineffective way in which to control foxes, but admits that she considers it to be part sport which she clearly has gained enjoyment out of for 50 years.
I feel sorry for Rosemary’s losses of lambs and chickens, but face facts, foxes just can not pop along to the supermarket when they are hungry, as we can !
