A YEAR on from the opening of Withybush Hospital’s midwife led unit a special celebratory tea party will be held.

The unit’s fantastic midwives are inviting mums, dads and little ones to join in the celebration on Saturday, August 8, along with parents-to-be who want to find out more about the facilities available.

Midwife Sian Phillips is hoping the event will help celebrate the 134 births the midwife-led service has seen in the past year: “It will be wonderful to celebrate this milestone with parents, grandparents and little ones, some of whom I’m sure are not so little anymore. Midwives will also be on hand if any parents-to-be would like to visit the Unit and find out more over a cup of tea and cake.”

The Midwife Led Unit at Withybush provides three birthing suites, including a dedicated birthing pool room, each complete with mood lighting and en suite facilities.

The unit also hosts a wide range of ante-natal classes for parents-to-be.

To join in the celebrations, call in to the Midwife Led Unit anytime between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, August 8.
