ARTISTS in St Dogmaels will be opening up their studios and promoting their galleries to the public later this month.

They will join more than 100 artists and craft makers from across west Wales in taking part in the Ceredigion Art Trail, which runs from August 22-31.

Visitors are invited to talk to the artists, view their work and maybe make a purchase.

There is a wealth of artistic media to explore, from painters and sculptors to quilters and photographers, and all for free.

“St Dogmaels has a thriving community of artists,” said local artist Philippa Sibert.

“It’s great to see so many artists in Pembrokeshire and Ceredigion working together to promote local art. The more people who visit local galleries and studios the better.”

The Ceredigion Art Trail guide, which gives details of all the artists and makers on the trail and how to find them, is available free from Tourist Information Centres, shops, hotels and other venues throughout the region or can be downloaded from the website www.ceredigionarttrail.org.uk.
