Tenby and District Camera Club’s winter programme gets under way today (Thursday).

The club will meet every Thursday at the Community Hall, St Florence, at 7.30pm, and this evening's meeting will be a welcome evening for members old and new, where images from the summer school will be shown.

The summer school was again a great success, giving the less experienced photographers the chance to be on a "shoot" and have help from the more experienced members.

There was also the opportunity for participants to view their images and alter and adjust them with programmes such as Lightroom and Photoshop.

Following the summer school, two of the members, Rosie Dungey and Ali Rees, won awards at both the Pembroke and County shows, while club chairman Neil Thomas was also a winner at the County show.

At next week’s meeting on Thursday, September 10, there will be a presentation on macro and close-up with Gareth Llewellyn, and a mini competition on the same subject. It is also the hand-in date for prints and digital images for the first open compeittion.
