DO you recognise the gentlemen in these paintings?

The owner, St Davids County Councillor David Lloyd, is seeking the public’s help so that they may be given to the families.

While running the County Hotel in Haverfordwest in the late 1980s, Cllr Lloyd commissioned artist Forrest McCreadie to paint some of his favourite customers.

He found these three portraits during a recent clear out of his study. They all bear the date of 1987.

Cllr Lloyd said: “All three were all memorable gentlemen and great characters.

“I enjoyed their company immensely.”

He went on to explain: “The gentleman in the centre (blue shirt) was a taxi driver and a huge character. He is sadly deceased.

“I don’t remember the gentleman on the right (pink shirt), but the gentleman on the left (white shirt) I think was called Morris. He worked as a foreman for Harry McEntee, who was a very well known businessman.”
