EAGLE-eyed shoppers have the chance of winning shopping vouchers and a hamper of sweets if they take part in a special Christmas competition.

The 'Twelve Days Of Christmas' window competition will be launched in Milford Haven on Saturday, December 5, to coincide with the annual lantern parade and switching on of the Christmas lights.

Eleven shops along the high street are taking part, with items in their window display relating to one of the verses in the well-known song, with one of the shops taking on two of the days.

Customers will have to identify which shop is displaying each verse from the song.

Entry forms can be picked up from any of the participating shops, and the competition runs until Wednesday, December 23, when a draw will take place for prizes including shopping vouchers and a hamper of sweets.

The competition has been organised by Lorraine Turner and Vanessa Craven, two business owners who recently formed the Charles Street Traders group on Facebook.

The aim of the group is to unite those trading in Charles Street and the surrounding area, providing a network of information, advice and mutual support, and new members are always welcome.

It is hoped that the competition will raise the profile of town centre shopping, boosting the atmosphere in the run-up to Christmas by providing a fun challenge for shoppers.
