THE LIGHTS shone brightly in Haverfordwest on Saturday, as the town’s Christmas lights were switched on.
Local X Factor star Jay James wowed the crowds with his music during the big event.
Prior to the Christmas lights switch on, a lantern parade made its way through the streets of the town, as both young and old marched with their lanterns.
The afternoon also played host to a traditional Christmas market, along with fun children’s rides, free face painting and live entertainment throughout the day on stage.
Local artists took to the Radio Pembrokeshire stage to warm the crowd with their music before the X Factor star took to the mic.
Just before the lights were switched on, the winners of the competition were announced.
The crowd were then whipped into an energetic frenzy before they counted down until the Haverfordwest Christmas lights were switched on.
The evening then ended with a fireworks display from the castle as the crowd looked on.
