MEMBERS of The Catrin Vaughan Foundation have donated £6,000 for a new outdoor play area and learning centre at Ysgol Glannau Gwaun in Fishguard.
It will have a variety of problem solving challenges, as well as an artificial play lawn and discovery pit.
Its purpose is to bring together learning opportunities for all abilities and encourage children to work together.
Construction work will start in December and is planned to be ready for the term starting in the New Year.
A spokesman from the foundation said: “We felt quite passionate about funding this project as it was something that Catrin had always wanted for the children.”
Catrin taught at the school's Learning Resource Centre before her tragic death in April 2014.
