FOUR people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the Red Roses bypass.

The collision happened just before 8am this morning, on the A477 between St Clears and Llanteg.

Two vehicles were involved in the collision, a silver Mitsubishi Colt, and a white Vauxhall Vivero Van.

Two people, in the Mitsubishi, have been taken to hospital via air ambulance with what are described as serious injuries.

The two passengers in the Vauxhall have been taken to hospital by ambulance.

The road is currently closed in both directions and diversions are in place.

Traffic between Pembroke Dock and Carmarthen is affected, and the road is unlikely to re-open until this afternoon.

Drivers are being asked to divert to the A40 to the Penblewin Roundabout and south through Narberth and Templeton on the A478 to Kilgetty.
