A charity event in memory of a Narberth man who died just a week after his 51st birthday is taking place this evening (Saturday, March 5).

Stephen Mason was diagnosed with metastatic pancreatic cancer in January, 2014. Stephen, a very strong character, fought the disease with courage and determination, but sadly lost his fight last year.

The charity evening will be held at 7pm at the Nantyffin Motel, Llandissilio – just a couple of days before what would have been Stephen’s 52nd birthday.

The event will consist of a two-course meal with entertainment to follow. There will also be a raffle and an auction, overnight accommodation is also available.

Tickets to the evening are £25 per person.

Proceeds will be divided between the Chemotherapy Unit in Glangwili Hospital, Carmarthen and Ty Bryngwyn Hospice in Llanelli, where Stephen passed away peacefully in March, 2015.
