ANGLE RNLI’s all-weather lifeboat was alerted on Saturday (April 16) to assist a seven metre fishing vessel with a fouled propeller, at Mill Bay just inside the entrance to the Milford Haven Waterway.
The Tamar class lifeboat Mark Mason was launched at 8.43am and located the casualty approximately 30 metres from the cliffs. There were 2 people on board and the vessel’s anchor was deployed.
The lifeboat rigged a tow to the casualty, her anchor was recovered and a course was set for Milford Docks.
At the entrance to the Docks, the fishing vessel was put alongside the lifeboat and taken to the Fisherman's Pontoon. With the casualty safely berthed, the lifeboat was released shortly before 10am to return to her station.
