The A40 between Canaston Bridge and Haverfordwest has reopened after emergency services dealt with two collisions.

Fire crews from Narberth and Haverfordwest were sent to the scenes.

Pembrokeshire County Council Tweeted to say there had been two seperate incidents.

There was a collision between a car and what has been described by witnesses as a car transporter type vehicle near Arnolds Hill.

One casualty was removed from the vehicle by firefighters from Haverfordwest and taken to Withybush Hospital.

That was followed by another collision between a car and a motorcycle o nthe same stretch of road.

Dyfed-Powys Police told the Western Telegraph: "At approx. 8.56am this morning, police received reports of an RTC on the A40 Canaston Bridge to Haverfordwest road, near the Green Bower garage.

"A car and a lorry were involved in the collision. Then at approx. 9.03am police received reports of a further RTC on the same stretch of the A40, leading towards Arnolds Hill, where a motorcycle and car were involved.

"The road was closed, but one lane is now open. There aren’t believed to be life threatening injuries."
