Putting the fish into Fishguard and the Good into Goodwick was this year's annual Round Table raft race and family fun day, held on the Parrog last Saturday.

The event, sponsored by Stena and held in collaboration with Pembrokeshire Fish Week, kept visitors entertained all afternoon and into the evening with a plethora of seaside activities including a sandcastle competition, tug of war, a team sea swimming competition and the infamous raft race.

A fish barbecue fed the hungry crowds, who also learnt to fillet and prepare fish during Fish Week demonstrations.

Musical entertainment was provided by Honey Fungus and the Stangs. Ysgol Bro Ingli dance troupe showed off their moves as did Haverfordwest's Rockabilly dancers. The area's army and sea cadets also demonstrated their skills and activities.

Kids enjoyed face painting and henna tattoos as well as bouncy castles and a wealth of different stalls and games.

"It was fantastic." Said Round Table chairman, Allan Cresswell. "It went really really well. We've had lots of positive comments about how it went.

"It's growing as an event. We had a lot more stalls this year and more entries for the tug of war competition and the sea swimming competition."

The Round Table's next community event will be a Soap Box Derby in Fishguard on August 13. For more information, visit Fishguard and District Round Table's Facebook page.
