A MUSICIAN from Letterston, who has raised more than £38,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, is hoping to drum up even more cash with his latest charity album.

Following his mother’s diagnosis with cancer in 2013, musician Martin Boulton convinced more than 100 artists from across the world to collaborate on a unique project to raise money for the cancer charity.

Since then, ‘Touched’ – together with its sequel and accompanying remix albums – have gone on to raise thousands of pounds for the charity, which provides emotional, medical, financial and practical support to people affected by cancer.

His latest release is a 'mega compilation' featuring more than 400 tracks, from artists as varied as Autechre, Bibio, Bola, Brothomstates, CJ Bolland, Future Sound Of London, John Tejada, Kid Koala, Mark Broom, Plaid, and Seefeel.

“After three years of running Touched, Touched 3 is the biggest and - I think - the best release to date," said Martin.

"I've been overwhelmed from the start with the support and kindness of everyone who has contributed to, and been touched by, Touched Music.

"Not only can people feel good from giving to charity, they get a shedload of top tunes -- a win-win in my book.

"Music can make a difference."

Touched 3 is released today (July 29), and all proceeds from album sales will go to Macmillan Cancer Support.
