YOUNGSTERS at Pennar School had a flavour of the American institution of the prom for the second year running recently when Friends of Pennar School organised a Year Six leavers party.
The July 19 party, which saw the youngsters, dressed up to the nines, arrive in style at Pennar Hall, where there was plenty of entertainment, including a disco, again provided by Lionel Nutting.
Prom Kling and Queen were Cody Briskham and Holly Cox.
Michele Wiggins, of the Friends of Pennar School, said: “About 30 children from Year Six took part.
“Pennar Hall gave the use of the hall free, and we were overwhelmed by the help we had, while Emma Phillips make a cake, cut by the king and queen.
Michele praised the support of volunteers who made the prom a success.
“It’s a lot of work but it all comes together,” said Michele.
The prom attendees also had a ride in the prom party bus, which whisked them around Pembroke Dock in style.
