A GROUP of Pembroke and Pembroke Dock men have climbed three of Wales' highest mountains in under 24 hours to raise money for Motor Neurone Disease.

Justin Price-Williams, Max Hayward, Ryan Hayward and Phil Nutting, all from the Pembroke and Pembroke Dock areas, along with Emma Lloyd and Josh Coker formed the six-strong team that completed the challenge at the end of July, this year.

The team, who walked up Pen y Fan, Cadair Idris and Snowdon - Wales' highest mountain, is on target to raise approximately up to £4,000 for the charity.

Justin said: "Sadly I lost my father Brian Williams, who used to work at the then Texaco Oil Refinery, to Motor Neurone's Disease some years ago so, we want to raise as much money as possible for this very worthwhile charity and in honour of my dad's memory."

During the event each team member ascended and descended a total of approximately 17,000 feet, completed 69,000 steps burnt off around 5,500 calories and covered almost 18 miles.
