PEMBROKE Dock and Neyland Army Cadets had a busy Armed Forces Day recently, raising £440 for the SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) and Royal British Legion charities.
The cadets took part in bag packing at Pembroke dock’s Tesco store to raise funds for their chosen charities, which help both serving and ex-servicemen and women, as well as families from all the branches of the armed forces.
Neyland Army Cadets is also affiliated to the Royal British Legion Milford Branch.
The money raised was divided equally between the two charities, who both turned up to have a chat about the history of the organisations and thank the cadets in person for the donations.
E Squadron Army Cadet Detachments are currently recruiting 12-18-year-old girls and boys.
