Sparkling prosecco and bubbly ladies combined to make this year’s Ladies’ Day a very fine vintage.

Women from all over the county donned their glad rags, hats and fascinators to enjoy a morning of catching up over canapes and glasses of bubbly.

Although light-hearted, the event had a serious cause at its heart; with a raffle raising money for the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution (RABI) an organisation providing support to farmers and farmworkers going through crisis.

BBC reporter Abigail Neal was the guest speaker and regaled the audience with tales of her favourite stories covered and those that never made it to the news.

She urged the women present to make their voices heard and represent the female face of agriculture.

The ladies also enjoyed music from harpist, Ioan Evans, and persusing stalls put on by Tregwynt Woollen Mill and Farmers Food at Home.

The event was organised by the show president’s daughters Georgie Roberts and Lydia Lois Reed.

“Thank you so much for coming,” Lydia told the ladies. “We are both really really proud to be here supporting our father at the show and to support the show’s lady ambassador, Kim Griffiths.”
