PEMBROKE Rotary Club recently presented a cheque for £650 to mental health charity Hafal this week following a fundraising event at Manorbier.
Manorbier Festival, an annual charity event organised by the Pembroke Rotary Club, took place earlier this year in Manorbier Castle which was kindly loaned for the occasion by Dame Emily Napier.
Proceeds from the event were divided between the charity sponsored by Dame Napier (Hafal) and Rotary Club charities. The event saw a big barbeque, tea party and a programme of entertainment.
Hafal, a national mental health charity, runs several services for people with a mental illness and their carers in the Pembroke area.
Hafal Area Manager for Pembrokeshire Rhiannon Luke said: "We were absolutely delighted to be nominated as one of the Rotary Club's charities for this year's Festival, and we are very grateful for the fantastic amount which was raised for us. This will support our work across the area for people with a mental illness and their carers."
