A CHILD was airlifted to hospital yesterday (Monday), after four cars were involved in a crash near Tenby.
The young boy was taken to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff by air ambulance at around 3.30pm.
Two women, trapped in separate vehicles, were released by firefighters using hydraulic cutting equipment.
One woman was taken by ambulance to Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen, and two women and two children were taken to Withybush Hospital, in Haverfordwest.
A police spokesman said none of the injuries was life-threatening.
The collision happened at around 1.42pm, on the B4318 near the Dinosaur Park in Gumfreston.
The road was closed for several hours as emergency services treated casualties and undertook investigation work.
Firefighters from Tenby and Pembroke Dock were in attendance, as well as police, ambulance, and air ambulance crews.
The road was re-opened at around 7.30pm.
