Emergency services have been called to the scene of an incident in Wiseman's Bridge involving a horse and its rider this afternoon (Monday).

The Wales Air Ambulance, an NHS ambulance and coastguard attended the beach after reports that a woman had fallen off her horse at around 1.45pm.

A Wales NHS Ambulance spokesman said: "An adult female was taken by road to Withybush Genral Hospital with non life-threatening injuries."

Veterinary attention was also summoned for the horse.

A Wales Air Ambulance spokeswoman added: "We can confirm that Wales Air Ambulance responded to an incident in the Wiseman’s Bridge area today, involving an adult. We were mobile at 13.57 and arrived on scene at 14.06, and were cleared by 14.50.

"We did not transfer the patient to hospital, the patient was taken by land ambulance to Withybush hospital"
